Position Overview:
RealGo is looking for versatile engineer to take charge of our quality assurance and release management processes. This position might be just the fit for you if you are a developer looking for more variety or a tester looking to do more coding. This position offers the opportunity to work with a variety of technologies across the entire development life cycle.

This position involves working closely with developers to understand system requirements and ensure their testability and correctness. Initially, this engineer will work with the systems administrators during the release process but will transition to managing and automating the process. Additionally they will be involved with incorporating feedback from customers, and technical support to further enhance our testing and release processes.

Candidates must have prior testing and automation experience. A BS or higher degree in Computer Science or a related field is desirable. This position requires excellent verbal and written communication skills. Experience testing web applications is highly desirable.

Quality Assurance responsibilities will include:

• understanding and analyzing requirements for testability
• creating and running test plans
• automating testing procedures
• helping developers build better tests

Release and Build Management responsibilities will include:

• creating and maintaining automated build and release tools
• releasing builds to pre-production and production environments (some after-hours work involved)

Candidates should be familiar with most or all of these technologies:

• Unix scripting including python, bash, and perl
• SQL
• Ant
• Tomcat
• Subversion
• Java
• Javascript
• ColdFusion
